If You Must surrender your pet....
BFHS can take an animal that is owned by you or that you are surrendering on behalf of a family member who is no longer capable of providing the necessary care. Stray animals cannot be surrendered to BFHS; in those cases, please contact Tri-City Animal Control if within their jurisdiction, or local law enforcement if not.
We at the Benton Franklin Humane Society understand that this is not an easy decision for you. We will try to make the surrender as simple as practicable. However, please understand that any animal we take in requires a lot of care, attention, and expense on the part of the shelter. The fees below are within the standards for shelters like ours, and are designed to cover some of the expenses of the animal's care between surrender and adoption.
